Saturday, April 4th from 8 am to 11 am.
Join John Hall and James Lamb, expert birders and interpreters, along with Stephen Liberman, Black Belt Gardens at Lake LU for a bird walk that is sure to be spectacular. Spring migration will be well underway and this site, considered one of the best in West Alabama by the Alabama Birding Trails program, will be packed with birds!
Start at Campbell House in Livingston with a cup of coffee and fresh muffins from the bakery, provided by the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce.
We’ll then take a long walk through the Black Belt Gardens followed by a golf cart limo to Lake LU. We’ll walk the prairie trail and learn about the birds we spot along the way, along with the native Black Belt prairie that surrounds us!
The Chamber is also sponsoring a lunch of sandwiches and chips.
Bring comfortable walking shoes and binoculars and/or camera with no flash.
