Attracting Birds to Your Yard: Bringing Your Hobby Home with special guest Anne Miller
Birding has something to offer for everyone, from the seasoned traveler to the backyard birdwatcher. If birding on the home front is more to your liking, there are certain actions and approaches one can take to make your yard more attractive to birds—and thereby bring them to you! Anne’s program will focus on those strategies that will maximize your backyard habitat and bring you hours of birding enjoyment from the comfort of your family room or your kitchen’s breakfast nook!
The details: This event will be held at the Alabama Wildlife Center (404 Terrace Drive, Pelham, Alabama 35124). Cider, punch, and cookies are available starting at 1:30—come early for conversation and refreshments! Note that while the program is free, admission to Oak Mountain State Park is $5/adults, $2 for children (4–11) and seniors (62+).
